<<…Without class differences, all run up to bring their donation for the big venture, with the material offers of money and stuff…>>, these word in the “Annals of the Fabbrica del Duomo” shows how the construction of the Milan Cathedral has been possible thanks to all those citizens, rich and poor, nobles and not, throughout history have wanted to participate in the realization of this great work by donating according to their means. The Historical Archive of the Veneranda Fabbrica still preserves the memory of all those who, through donations of money, clothing, food, goods and works of various kinds, have supported this venture.
From 2012 adhering to the fundraising project “Get your Spire: carve your name in the History” is possible to support the works and the restoration activities that the Veneranda Fabbrica always continues to carry on for the maintenance and the care of this precious Monument. From October 2015 the Veneranda Fabbrica invites to join the campaign through donations of goods and art works. All works collected will be sold in an auction to raise funds to finance the restoration of the Cathedral.
The Foundation Nolana Del Giudice with the first donation of a full size copy of the Madonnina, is the first entity to have decided to support the activities of the Veneranda Fabbrica in this way.
To those who want to donate art works at the Veneranda Fabbrica is required reading the code on donations of works of art (annex 1) and filling the forms (annex 2) to be returned in duplicate signed copy to “Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano – Via Arcivescovado 1, 20122 Milano” (or by fax: +39 0272022419 or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org).
