I lived in Milan from 1939 (I was 5) to 1961.
In the shelter of the house during the bombing I trembled with fear and pain to the possibility of losing Milan, the Cathedral, the Scala.
Now, after 50 years in Rome, I lead with my heart; every morning I have my Duomo almost at hand, and I can see it just looking out my window! I’m happy!
